Exec: Russia’s Gazprom Neft sees significant 2016 dividend growth
MOSCOW, Nov 24 (PRIME) -- Russian oil company Gazprom Neft expects a significant growth of its dividends for 2016 due to an higher net profit under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), CFO Alexei Yankevich said on Thursday in a conference call.
For 2015, Gazprom Neft paid 6.47 rubles in dividends.
“Speaking of dividends for 2016, our policy is a percentage of the net profit, and it will most likely be maintained. The payment is 25% under IFRS,” he said.
“We may say that the IFRS net profit itself will be significantly higher than in 2015, so the amount of dividends per share…should grow significantly.”
Gas giant Gazprom owns 95.7% in Gazprom Neft, while 4.3% is free-float.
The company’s IFRS net profit attributable to shareholders grew 12.7% on the year to 147.48 billion rubles in January–September.
